About Us
What started with family can grow into a community of opportunity.
DNA Scholarship Program is a family-run nonprofit built around a belief in the transformative power of education.
For our family, that belief is personal. Educational opportunity opened doors that may otherwise have remained closed, shaping a conviction that scholarships can do more than ease a financial burden—they can change a trajectory.
DNA was created to pay that opportunity forward by supporting students who demonstrate academic merit, determination, and potential.
A Personal Connection
One of DNA's founders is an alumnus of the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund, whose scholarship support helped make a Catholic high school education possible while growing up on Chicago's Southwest Side.
That experience shaped a lasting belief that the right educational opportunity at the right moment can change what a young person believes is possible.
Years later, DNA continues that circle of opportunity through direct scholarships, community partnerships, and a donor pledge to the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund.
Family-Run
DNA is led by Arturo and Daisy Reyes, a husband-and-wife team who bring family perspective, professional experience, and a deeply personal connection to educational opportunity.
Arturo is an executive at a major Hollywood studio, while Daisy brings more than 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. Together, they remain hands-on in shaping DNA's scholarship philosophy, partnerships, and long-term direction.
